As most of you know, we’ve been extremely busy organizing the 1st Annual Denim Dash Virtual 5K Run/Walk with the Global Genes Project! During our planning with their team, they shed light on Noah Coughlan and Run For Rare. On February 28th, World Rare Disease Day, Noah is setting out for a THIRD time, to run across the country!
3,100 miles
127 days
13 states
4 mountain ranges
3 deserts
1 continent
Run For Rare is an ongoing movement charged by the multiple transcontinental runs of Noah, whom was inspired by two childhood friends battling a Rare brain disease to bring awareness and rally support for the global rare disease community. Noah is starting his run at the Statue of Liberty in New York City, and concluding in San Diego on the 4th of July! Noah has reached more than 7 million people over the course of his first two runs — primarily handling social media and campaign efforts from his road office, a jogging stroller. Thankfully, Noah has made many people think about Rare Diseases who may have otherwise not been exposed to them.
We cannot believe we hadn’t heard of Noah’s story sooner! He is truly amazing, and an inspiration to all. We wish him the BEST of luck!
Feel free to check out Noah’s Facebook page to stay up to date on his journey across country — for a third time.
